One should assume that the Chinese President Hu Jintao will not cut short his G 8 summit ,and go back home ,unless what is going on in his country is pretty critical and dangerous .
It's been almost a week since we all heard about the "riots and the killings" in the Xinjiang Region (the new frontiers) ,which is the only region in vast China that has Gas and Natural Gas .The news ,which is mostly talking about Muslims being killed by the Chinese Red Army, is not telling us why this killing is taking place and who is this Muslim minority ,that is standing against the mighty Red Army ?
The US ,in it's almost losing battle to remain the world's sole super power , is trying to create separatists groups in China ,so China could be weakened or even split into many countries . And just like everywhere there's Gas ,the US will do whatever it can to make sure that ,the Gas and it's suppliers and routes are controlled soley by it. This is what is going on ,and this is what happened in Darfor .It has nothing to do with protecting Muslim and Islam , after all ,it's the US who killed and still killing directly or indirectly ,millions of Muslims ,in Iraq ,Afghanistan ,Pakistan and Palestine to name few places.
Here are few things to think about :
- There's a new Energy deal that was signed lately between Russia and China to build a pipe line so both countries and maybe others will not be completely reliant on the US for their Gas supplies.
- The Xinjiang Region is very close to Afghanistan .
- The Muslim minorty in question ,the Uighurs (pronounce wee-gers ) , is a Turkish ethnic group ,which without a doubt should have it's civil rights respected and safeguarded all the time, is one of four Chinese Muslim minorities ,which none of them had any problems with the Central Chinese government before .This ethnic minority like any other minority does not have the right to split a country or secede from a country.
- Rebiya Qader ,62, the President of World Uyghor Congress ,which is an arm of the Islamist East Turkestan movement (which the US put on the Terrorist list after 9/11 ) lives in the US and has been getting a lot of support from the State Department and the CIA .
Now connect the Dots.....

Yousuf, thank you for this article. In the same time and in addition to what you have pointed out, I think US want to hit ( as we Say) tow birds in one shot. To destabilize the friendly relations between China and the Arabic/Muslim world so as not to be alone in alienating them. Also the Arab/Muslim world would have more trouble world wide adding now to them China a traditional friend to the Arabs since ancient time. It is a FITNA creation between friends..
It is nice that educated person is aware of this and can understand. But we have to be careful that there are many illiterate or fanatics amongst Arab/Muslim world that can spark conflict like a dry straw which can catch fire so quickly and which would have some one who is ready to spark a light in it. There are many, may be you can name them. Easily they can do that, instructed by the same sources you have mentioned.
They are so cleaver in turning friend into animy..
I also wish and pray that Chinese MUST be very careful in dealing with this issue by different sort of measures and not to play in the hands of planers.
First not to speak in a worrier's language against their own citizens, like the city boss of Xingjian, "I will shoot-I will kill". This kind of language will dignifiedly cause great miss understanding and will add fuel not water to fire. Also to address the Arabic/Muslim world in an appropriate friendly way and not to turn a blind eyes on what might this can cause to their feeling..
Most people are suddenly shocked on what had happened. 180 are killed and over 1000 injured in a ONE DAY!!! Even in a military battle this is an extremely huge lose. No matter who ever caused this conflict insider outsider, all the world will condemned them but some one has to be brave and take responsibility and resigns for allowing this to happen. The world didn't see any one has resigned. What dose this mean?
See, In comparison to India as you may remember on the case of Mumbai Terror case. Taking responsibility the minister of Interior has ringed. What dose that mean?
The world was in a big shock Arabic or none Arabic Muslim or none Muslim. What dose this mean to have all this killing? And who killed who and why? No explanation!! All that we saw CCTV was talking to Chinese against evils, as if they were trying to gain the Chinese people support on the side of the perfect RIGHT thing the government is doing, to stop those evils. Playing in the same hand of who might have planed this conflict instead of defusing it..
People round the world or even in China have no any back ground about this Xing iang Case. They don't know that the Uigorian are not only the ethnic in this region. There are about 45 ethnics in this province. So why problem with Uigorian and not with others. This issue must be addressed..
I would sincerely advice the Chinese to start talking to people round the world by their main languages. English is not just the only international language that all people in the world can understand. Like other respected international powers why China dose not have TV/Radio Arabic, Persian Turkish programs along with other languages. Arrirang S-Korea TV/radio is an example. If S-Korea can do..China Can't?
Chinese broadcasting 24 hours on CCTV 9 only English. Why they are so locked in just English? Why they can't allocate just 6 hoarse or so for Arabic, Persian, or Turkish even Spanish and French Ext.? An hour for each. So they can address Arab/Muslim world and others directly not just about conflict but to have role in consolidating relations and create common interests? That's to have the world better understanding..
