Re the information you gave in your message below, please correct as follows:
The Jewish state as per the partition plan was supposed to be 56%
The Arab state 42% +/-
Jerusalem international zone 3% +/-
This is while the population was a follows:
Arabs 1,300,000
Jews 600,000 out of who only 1/3 (200,000) had the Palestinian identity card, the remaining 2/3s were smuggled into Palestine, and were not registered as Palestinians, even though the British mandate authorities with an army of 100,000 soldiers should have been aware of this fact, as you cannot smuggle 400,000 people without the knowledge of such a big army, actually they were organizing it.
