Occupied Palestine was very busy today ,27 November 2007 , the day the Annapolis meeting took place. The demonstrations started bright and early ,and pretty much ,in every large city in the West bank and the Gaza Strip.
In the West bank ,the Abbas forces was ready with the fresh military gear it just received from Olmert ,that included bullets and Tear gas, (they had the sticks for a while now ,since I saw it a couple of years back).
What attracted my attention is not that my people will resist the wholesale of our rights that Abbas and company,(witnessed by 18 Arab mukhtar) ,were doing at Annapolis.....What attracted my attention was that some of the NGO's and civil groups started in the morning ,then Hamas and Jihad supporters and then Hizb Al Tahreer.....Hizb Al Tahreer ,that just recently had 10's of thousands in the streets of Ramallah giving Ameer Al Moumenneen the Bay3a....(where the hell did this party come from and how come we have not heard of it in the last 60 years? ). Maybe it was waiting for "some Hadith" to come from Mecca ,or maybe it was something else ,who knows?
And off course at night our faithful "Left" got on the streets with banners and flags ,and I must tell you that this "Left" is really smart....They knew that Abbas forces will be tired from the work they did during the day ,beating and shooting and even killing our people. So they knew that the bullets and tear gas are long gone ,so they can go on the streets and demonstrate as much and long as they want.....And of course ,they wouldn't get a sun burn either.Once smart ,always smart ...God if you are listening please save us ,pretty please.....
