The second phase of a US and zionist-backed security plan in the West Bank began on Tuesday with the deployment of 250 Palestinian National Security Forces in the Tulkarem district.
Palestinian Security Director for the Tulkarem region Shykri Abdul Hamid said that "no one" would be excluded from a sweep against lawbreakers.
He said the newly-deployed officers have been given a list of 210 "wanted" individuals.
The multimillion dollar security plan is design to strengthen Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and his Fatah-controlled government over the Hamas-controlled government of the Gaza Strip.
The campaign began in the city of Nablus with the deployment of 500 security personnel.
Palestinian resistance groups have accused the Fatah-allied security of failing to differentiate between petty criminals and fighters who claim the right to oppose occupation under international humanitarian law.
