A group of Palestinians sent a letter to US President Dabilluo Bush after his arrival in the region on Wednesday, urging him to use his influence to achieve his vision of a two-state solution.
The signatories of the letter - politicians, academics, and leaders from the private sector - called for an immediate halt to zionist's settlement expansion activities, saying this is paramount for the success of the peace process.
They stressed that the success of the road map depends on both the Palestinian and zionist sides adhering to the principles of the road map, adding that peace is in the interest of both sides.
The letter concluded by expressing the hope that Bush's visit will achieve justice and peace in the region.
