اميركا رفضت طلب شارون عدم السماح لـ "حماس" بخوض انتخابات 2006

القدس - كشف السياسي الاسرائيلي دوف فايسغلاس كبير مستشاري رئيس الحكومة الاسرائيلية السابق ارييل شارون في مقابلة اجراها معه مراسل صحيفة "ذي اندبندنت" اللندنية , بعض الاسرار بشأن قرارات اتخذها شارون قبل دخوله في غيبوبة قبل سنتين او كان سيتخذها لو انه كان الآن في وعيه

ومن بين هذه الاسرار ان الولايات المتحدة رفضت باصرار حضه لها على عدم السماح لحركة "حماس" بالمشاركة في الانتخابات التشريعية الفلسطينية في العام 2006

For those of you who can not read Arabic ,the above talks about how the US went against Sharon ,who tried to lobby it for not allowing Hamas to run for the Palestinian Legislative elections in 2006.

So what did the US think it will happen ? Did they trust Dahlan and Abbas that much ,that they believed they would win the election ?

I know ,it was not for the love of democracy that the US allowed elections to take place if it knew that Hamas would win it .
