We all heard of what Ike did to Texas and surrounding states .But I guess watching news from TV from a living room is something that does not relate to what's going on.
I just received a telephone call , an actual cry for help , from a friend in the hit areas just outside of Houston , telling of the horror that people are facing ,almost a day and a half after Ike hit land.
People are out of food , no electricity ,and no cell phones ....People are cut off the outside world and do not believe help is coming.
Please call Red Cross ,local authorities and state government and insist that people come first , way first before the high rise building in Downtown Houston are secured .
Our friends and relatives should always come first.
Rima Anabtawi ,you are in our thoughts and we will do what it takes to make sure things will be OK.
